Downloadable educational websites?

My son is six and I've just hooked him up with his own computer which I
won't allow online. He has some educational games but does anyone know
of any good FREE downloadable educational game/activities that I can
download on his computer and he can play while NOT online? Reading and
math are the biggies I'm looking for but fun stuff, too since it's
summer. :)
